Do you ever feel like you’re going faster than you really want to go?  Maybe you feel like you have to prove how good you are or how generous you are or how capable you are.

I have spent a lot of time seeking the approval of others.

I’ve entered the competition of comparing my life with others.

I competed, and it felt…awful.

Approval-seeking, trying to keep up, constantly competing – it doesn’t feel good.

But it is tempting.

It’s tempting to try and do what everyone else is doing and to make crazy sacrifices to get there.

I’ve sacrificed my health many times in service to trying to keep up.

I’ve had to learn the hard way that I am enough.

I don’t have to compete.

I don’t have to fit in.

I don’t even want to fit in.

I want to belong

I want to just be

If today you are wondering if you are enough, let me assure you that you are.

You don’t have to add another damn task or piece of clothing or lose more weight – you are enough right now.

I know you don’t believe me though (I didn’t believe it either) so today’s episode is for you.

Be sure to join the private Parents Who group if you want to really start moving away from the things about motherhood that drive you crazy and move towards the things that make you feel more peaceful and happy (i.e. alone time!)

There is weekly, free personal training in the Facebook group that I don’t include anywhere else.

Plus, a community of moms just like you who won’t judge, and will even encourage!

I also post a lot of behind the scenes photos and daily validation and motivation on Instagram that you won’t find here. Hop over there and follow me!
